"A book must be the axe for the frozen sea within us." Franz Kafka Enough said!.

Wow. The horrors of this book is the essence of its beauty.

An interesting factoid I came across: the reason Burgess chose to use orange in the title (and the titular concept itself) was because orange, when spelled out, resembles orang, the Malay word for human/person (Burgess had once been stationed in Malaya and Brunei). In addition, the division of the book into 3 parts consisting of 7 chapters each also made me think of the Chinese proverb Bu Guan San Qi Er Shi Yi (meaning recklessly, but literally it can also mean '3x7=21, whatever', in reference to a logical fallacy joke the proverb was based on).
